Saturday evening was spent at the Joe's Crab Shack in Round Rock. We wanted to go somewhere close were we could eat and Mia could play. They have a great playscape, and there were some older kids playing...Mia enjoys watching the older kids...then she tried to follow them up the ladder. We have a rule that we won't really help Mia up on something if she's too little for it. When she grows, gains the strength and/or ability to do something new...it'll mean more to her. Plus, I'm not picking that kid up all the time :) She went half way up that ladder and safely came down all by herself. She was very proud. Mia loves corn. She could eat corn on the cob all day every day. I was rather surprised how good the food was...or maybe I was just hungry.
They played good music. When a Jamaican whining song came on, all the staff formed a conga line and danced around the restaurant. Mia wanted to dance, so we joined in. They all thought she was super cute...she was. For dessert, Mia picked out a rice krispie treat in the shape of a crab. It came with 'paints' and a paint brush. The colors where strawberry, raspberry & chocolate sauces. Mia had a great time creating some art...we all loved eating it.
Later, Daryl took a nap in Mia's house (it's his quiet spot :) ...until she woke him up with a big hug
