Texas Style Winter Games

Smack in the middle of both Winter and Texas, we got together for some Texas style winter games! Mama Courtney and her lovely Izzy & Emmy hosted the fun at a neighborhood park...they were prepared with oodles of snowballs (rolled up socks), sleds (cardboard and rope) and ice skates (paper plates taped onto the bottom of the kids shoes with tape)! I still can't get over how the kids really LOVED throwing snowballs!

I'm loving this shot so much, I'm dubbing it my Best Shot

how fun -- what a great activity! although it does seem like those "sleds" are a lot of work on the grass :).

Oh, looks like fun! I love the one where the three girls are pulling the one on the sled...too cute!

That's about how wintery our winter games would be as well...

Happy Monday! :)

First thanks for the comment on my blog! It really encouraged me.

These photos are wonderful! I especially love the little boy in the football shirt and of course, the stuffed animal! Great perspectives.

Also, wanted to let you know that I added you to my blogroll!

So many great shots! I really like the one of the little boy laughing looking down. And of course, of that baby full on laugh (2nd from bottom).

What an amazing idea! I love it. Sounds like something I should try out around here too. We rarely see any snow in the valley and snowball socks sound like an excellent idea. :) Wonderful pictures.

Oh my gosh, this is SO MUCH FUN! I should totally organize a texas style winter games here...that's the only way these kids will have even the vaguest idea of what it means to go sledding!

They look like they are having a ball! But what I notriced most about this post is you know how sometimes you look at a photo and you go, "Ooo" (like it really stands out)?
I did that on photos 4, 8 and 9 and then your best shot.

Great series! :o)

All such great shots! I love that you captured winter in the southwest...very similar to here (San Diego). Looks like they're having a great time, and they have such great imaginations!
