Caution: Wet Paint!

* I just commented on Tracey's blog post, and I really like what I said...so I'm adding it to the front of today's blog...just a few hours after posting :)*

What's been on my mind a lot today is in 10 short weeks, I'll be a mother for the second and last time. It's hitting me hard today what all that means...as a woman, a wife, a mother...a person of this world.
That's not what I blogged about, though :) Just how my first child is so into the 'process' of everything...not the outcome. 'wonder what will happen if I paint my whole hand red...hmmm'

On our first non cold, wet or windy day Mia finally got to paint outside! She knows that if it's outdoor painting, pretty much anything goes...she gets to explore to the fullest and messiest. This day was no exception.

My only problem is that I can't pick my Best Shot! This has seriously been the hardest Monday for me...ever! They are all my 'best's' for one reason or another, but I'm going with the first one...but feel free to pick your own. If you go HERE, you'll see there are more that didn't make the cut, but came in sooo close!

It was a perfect afternoon....Mia got to paint, and I got to capture it all :)

My choice for Best Shot

Oh my goodness, look at that tub!! LOL!! Well, she certainly looks like she was having quite the good time painting herself. :) I love that second shot with the sun on her hair...she's so cute.

I love the last one in the tub. It took a moment for me to figure out what was going on, but it really completed the story! Nice shots!

Oh, you are one brave mama. I can see why you were not able to pick a favorite. They are all great.

I love your second photo. The determination in your little gir's face as she creates her masterpiece is priceless. Your series reminds me that for children play is their work and we should take a lesson from that--love what you do! Beautiful photos, Tanya!

I just love these, and it IS hard to choose a favorite! I'm partial to her bright-red hand and bath water, though. You do amazing things with color!

I LOVE this sequence! I have a similar one on my Flickr site starting here, and we JUST did this again today with all three of my offspring, and I'm getting ready to process the pics and do a blog post about it. Great minds of Shutter Sisters think alike!

Those are awesome... Love the contrast of the red against, well, everything else... Especially the one in the tub.

Congrats on the new baby! I have a seven month old, also my second child, and yes, it is profound.
