Sophia came to play

A couple of weeks ago, Mia's friend Sophia came over to play for the whole afternoon! Her parents went to the lake to celebrate her uncle's 40th birthday on a party boat...not ideal for an almost 3 yr old, so we got her! :) Mia showed Sophia all her toys...the dollhouse and dressup stuff were huge hits. They even were little cheerleaders while Daryl played the wii. Daryl read to the girls while they had lunch....he couldn't believe that one of Mia's books about computers actually showed a floppy as being an ideal storage medium :)

Niles, our dog was banned to upstairs...he's not great around children. So he was up stairs off and on barking or whining to come down....we would tell him to be quiet and stop whining...Sophia told him to Shhhhh. At the end of the day, everyone was happy, but exhausted....and looking forward till the next time this sweetness comes for a visit.

Feel better, sweet friend

Mia's little friend, Anika is feeling sick today. I told Mia, but she still wanted to see her...hmmmm I grabbed Mia up and whisked her away to the computer to show her pictures from a couple of weeks ago when Anika and her mama, Anjalika came over to play. Anja and I took turns using my camera...so I'm actually in a few shots!

Mia loves Anja for many many reasons, but this day it was for chocolate croissants

The Princess Angel and her Daddy Charming

The Princess Angel and her Daddy Charming

First Daddy Charming helped his Princess Angel with her pink crystal heart slippers....then to stand up.

well, she NEEDED a pony!

ahhhh happiness....for both princess and trusty steed

what you don't see her is the FALL. The trusty steed got a playful, and somehow, the angel princess FLIPPED over his shoulder...onto her left eyebrow (how's that for precise..the bumps always tell). The princess cried big fat princess tears and her steed was scrambling for anything to help..M&M? Hug?

no M&M or hug would do...the steed was dressed up!

fluffy tiara, pink fringe and all!

His little angel was happy and that's all that mattered to him.

I LOVE this man!!!!

Happy Mudder's Day

Daryl taught Mia how to say Happy Mother's Day. It was so charming to hear my little girls' voice singing 'Happy Mudder's Day, my Mama' this morning...and all day long. I kept thanking Daryl. Without him, I wouldn't be a mudder.

They were sweet and made blueberry pancakes for me this morning. Mia LOVES to stir and stir and stir.... She flipped a little bit then snuggled up with me while daddy finished cooking. Ahhhh breakfast in bed. Then Daryl took Mia shopping, so I had some alone time. I took a super long bath and read in bed. It was the BEST!

Icky face...Daryl hates messing with raw eggs :)

just a little taste

When they came home....a long time later, they brought my fav Pad Thai for lunch. Yum!..cards, chocolates and a Djembabes CD! Yay me!!! After Mia's nap, we all played on the floor...forever! She wanted to play dress up, so I ran upstairs and brought down all her stuff. She wanted to wear it all at the same time, but ended up with a purple velvet and feather skirt (used as a top), a silver sequin skirt, a purple satin purse, silver sequin shoes and a coon skin hat! She's so much fun :)

why does she insist on growing up?

The best part of the whole day was all the uninterrupted silly time I spent with my loving husband and daughter. I heart being a mudder.

Happy Mudder's day morphs into Happy Birthday while trying to wish her mama, Nana and Ita a Happy Mother's Day:
